How many parts are there to the IELTS speaking test?
There are 3 parts. Part 1 is question answer. Part 2 is a talk. Part 3 is a discussion on broader issues. See some sample questions by clicking:
How long does the speaking test take?
It takes a total of 11 to 14 minutes. Part 1 is 4-5 mins, part 2 is 3-4 mins and part 3 is 4-5 mins. The test can’t be under 11 mins and it can’t be more than 14 mins.
